Propagating from seed
Pre soak the sponges with luke warm water ensuring any excess is squeezed out prior to seeding.
Add Root it first feed to your water to give your plants a great start.
Place the seeds into the sponges at a depth of 3-5mm. Tear off a small piece of the sponge to cover the seed. Place the tray somewhere warm 24°c is ideal.
Seeds will take between 24 hours to 10 days to show.
The sponges should maintain a moist but not wet state allowing the sponges to dry out will kill the young seedlings as will over watering.
If,when lightly squeezed liquid does not come to the surface of the sponge, add a little water.
Root development can be checked and measured by gently picking the sponge out of the tray.
When roots are clearly visible the young plant can be transfered to your chosen media.
Propagating from cuttings
Pre soak the sponge in luke warm water ensuring any excess is squeezed out prior to planting.

Take cuttings approx 75mm tall.
The stem width of cuttings (at the cut) should be on average 3-4mm.
Make the diagonal cut (45°) the stem (from the mother plant) about 6mm below the lowest node, or stem swelling and remove bottom leaves.
Make sure the bottom node is the plug.
If using Root it gel 4 plugs rooting gel, have your plugs pre-filled with the gel by simply filling a small hole in the plug then gently pushing your cutting into it.
If the hole is to big gently sqeeze the sponge around the stem to seal.
Transfer to a propagator and place somewhere warm, 24°c is ideal.
